On January 12, 2021, format Nachgefragt (Inquired) of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg published an interview with Katharina Nicolai, research assistant at EZIRE and doctoral candidate at the Chair for Politics and Society of the Middle East. Together with Eric Vollmann (research assistant at the Chair for German and Comparative Politics, European Studies and Political Economy), she explains the connection between the agreement negotiated under the supervision of the USA on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel and the recognition of Morocco’s claim to the Western Sahara through the USA.
