Event Announcement: Research Project Islam in Bavaria
Under the motto “Experience the Sciences”, the Bavarian Academy of the Sciences in Munich helds an open day on Saturday, May 20th, from 11am to 6pm. The EZIRE takes part in the event: Throughout the day, Dr. Jörn Thielmann, executive director of the EZIRE, as well as Dr. Mahmoud Jaraba and Alexander Schulz, M.A., are available to present the EZIRE-research project “Islam in Bavaria” to everybody interested. In terms of content, Salafism and refugees are central to the presentation. The program of the event can be found here.
Furthermore, the EZIRE contributes to the family program of the open day by offering an Arabic course for beginners. Under the motto “Marhaba, ismi…Yaum sa’id”, a little insight into the arabic language is imparted. Children from six years up can participate in the course. The course schedule is as follows:
Kurszeiten: 11:30 – 12:00am, 1:30 – 2:00 pm, 3:00 – 3:30pm, 5:00 – 5:30pm.
